We are still here on our journey
Sunday 9th January 2011 by Louise Carron Harris, No comments
How many of you have analysed your life, thought about where you came from and where you are going, how you will be remembered and how you want to be remembered?
For some of us its hard to think about our existence, hard to think about life without our friends and family or think about our family living life without us. For others thinking about the end highlights how wonderful this life really is, and brings gratitude that we we are still here on our journey… and that’s what is important.
Sentiment believes that we should remember that we are living in the here and now… because we know all too well that life can short. Be aware that all your achievements and stories along the way have made you who YOU are and we should celebrate that and commemorate.
In a time when we like to preserve our history, why not preserve a little bit of your own history … whether you want to create a DVD for your family as a gift, or a life biography to pass onto your children, a Memory book of your life with photos and stories. If you want to ensure that one day your family will know what to do for your funeral and celebrate your life in the way that best reflects you, then please speak us for funeral event planning or commemoration DVD production.
Happy new year, and all the best on your Journey.
Funeral photography – BBC Breakfast TV
Friday 12th November 2010 by Louise Carron Harris, 2 comments
Just arrived back home from BBC – wow getting up at 5am this morning was hard work… but worth it!!
The interview was mainly based around funeral photography, and I didn’t get a chance to even mention the idea of filming funerals or talk about any of the other amazing products and services we offer – looking back they introduced me as ‘Louise Harris Owner of Funeral photography firm’ which isn’texactly right but that was their spin on the story! However I really enjoyed talking about somthing I am passionate about – and thats giving people a choice when it comes to planning a funeral.
It was great to meet Annie Styles from Cruse Bereavement Care too and I have to admit… quite liked being on telly ;o)

Radio gaga!
Sunday 19th April 2009 by Louise Carron Harris, 2 comments
Just as I was running out the office on Thursday morning, I received a phone call from BBC Radio Berkshire asking me to speak live on air… I knew what it would be about straight away as I’d had 3 calls from various sources in the past 24 hours regarding the launch of the Co-operative Funeralcares survey regarding Music in funerals.
I was interviewed by Henry Kelly – here is the link: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p002qzwq/Henry_Kelly_16_04_2009/.

Jades wedding – photo slideshow / photo montage
Thursday 12th March 2009 by Louise Carron Harris, 4 comments
So did anyone watch Jades wedding on Living TV?I love a good wedding so settled down to watch the 2 hour episode – I cried my eyes out all the way through! what did you think?
There was a lovely photo slideshow / photo montage provided by her ‘best men’ – I love that photo montages are becoming the norm for weddings, funerals and anniversaries.
www.sentiment-productions.co.uk caters for all celebrations of life. New samples due to go up on the website in the next few weeks in the mean time there have been some updates, in products including memory books.
Is wanting to innovate the funeral industry such a wacky idea?
Wednesday 12th November 2008 by Louise Carron Harris, 4 comments
Two years ago I set up Sentiment Ltd. I suppose the idea came in many forms, things I’d seen on TV, a string of family funerals both good and bad, my own experience in event planning and production, my brain running overtime at 2am in the morning. It all just merged together and then ‘shabang’ I came up with the crazy idea of funky funerals and video production!!!
There is nothing in the world I love more than being able to bring comfort to people, make them smile, make them laugh or do something that overwhelms them. I like to push the barriers out, do something that will have a positive and lasting impact on people for the rest of their life. Allowing them to celebrate the life of the person they had lost in a way most befitting the person.
I think I had some sort of calling, not so much in the sense a priest or a vicar gets a calling. No god whispered in my dreams to tell me I was destined for greater things – just a true desire to offer people something more and perhaps change the traditional thinking around funerals.
